The Indefinite Pronoun некоторый (some)

 

The pronoun некоторый (некоторая, некоторое, некоторые) is an indefinite pronoun.

The   pronoun некоторый  follows the   declension pattern of  adjectives and is used as an attribute.

 

Некоторые студенты нашего класса увлекаются компьютером.  

Some of the students of our class are fascinated by computer.

 

Я говорил с некоторыми студентами.       

I spoke to some of the students.

Некоторое время все молчали.       

Everyone was silent for some time.

 

Некоторую часть пути все шли молча.       

Part of the way they all went on in silence.

           

The meaning of the   pronoun   некоторый  is similar to  that of pronouns  with the particle кое-:   кое-какой,   кое-что,   кое-кто.

 

Я взял с собой кое-какие журналы. 

I took some magazines with me.

 

Я взял с собой некоторые журналы

I took some magazines with me.

 

Я взял с собой кое-что из вещей.

I took some of the things with me.

 

Я  взял  с собой  некоторые  из вещей.

I took some of the things with me.

           

Кое-кто из студентов увлекается компьютером.   

Some of the students are fascinated by computer.
